CMC Vellore Admission Criteria

There will be 100 applicants per year for the MBBS programme, and the seats will be distributed as follows:

A)  Management Quota

In CMC Vellore, 50% of the seats are filled by the management quota which is on the basis of inter-se-merit as per NEET results. Selection for the same is based on three broad categories, namely-

Open – 2 seats
Minority Network – 38 seats
CMC Vellore Staff Quota – 10 seats 

B)  Government Quota

And the remaining 50% of the CMC Vellore seats will be filled by the State Government from state merit list of NEET exam in the following steps-

1.    The State Government will fill thirty percent of the seats fully in accordance with its reservation policy and the NEET merit list.
2.    Candidates for the State Government who belong to the Christian minority in the State and who are strictly ranked on the NEET merit list will occupy 20% of the seats.

Eligibility Criteria for CMC Vellore MBBS Admission

If a student wants to get admitted to CMC Vellore, they must meet certain prerequisites, which are as follows:

1.  A candidates should have passed the qualifying examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology with English.

2.  A candidate for admission to the medical course must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together)/Bio- technology at the qualifying exam (40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

3.  Candidates should have passed in all subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent examination in one and the same attempt in the subjects.

How to take MBBS Admission in CMC Vellore?

Following are the steps that must be taken if a student meets all eligibility requirements and is ultimately accepted to CMC Vellore. CMC Vellore MBBS Admission will be on the basis of NEET and will be conducted through Tamil Nadu State Counselling.
