Eligibility for SMCW MBBS
Symbiosis Medical College for Women admits students based on merit, determined by their NEET rank as reported to MCC. In addition to passing the NEET Exam, the following additional requirements must also be met:
• Primarily, qualify NEET
• 12 or equivalent examination clearance (PCB-50%, English – Pass)
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)/Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at SMCW/SIU will conduct admission counselling in order to fill all 100 seats (or 100%) in the MBBS programme offered by Symbiosis Medical College. 85% of the seats are reserved for the general category, and 15% are set aside for NRIs.
Symbiosis Medical College Admission Process
Step 1 – Qualify NEET UG Entrance Exam
Step 2 – Apply for Online MCC Counselling and register under deemed university for General/NRI category
Step 3 – Choice Filling. At the time of choice filling, at the time of filling the preference of the college select SMCW
Step 4 – Allotment of Seat
If a student gets an allotted seat in Round 1 of counselling process, then the student can visit the college and confirm the seat. However, if the student does not get allotted seat, then the student can take admission in allotted college and also side by side apply in 2nd Round of Counselling.
If in the 2nd Round, student can a seat allotted, then the student can resign from previous college and confirm seat at Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Pune. Where the student still does not get a seat, then student can further apply for Mop-up round & give preference to SMCW.
Step 5 – Verification of Documents
After you have been allotted a seat, you are then required to report to the college for verification of your documents.
