Most students must navigate both MCC (15% AIQ) and their state authority (85% state quota). Applying to the wrong one — or missing domicile rules — can disqualify you.
MCC All India Quota
MCC handles AIQ seats in government and private colleges across India, plus deemed university and central institute seats. No state domicile required for AIQ, but category certificates must match central format.
State Counselling
Karnataka KEA, UP DGME, Maharashtra CET, and others control state quota seats. Domicile, nativity, and local reservation rules apply. Registration is separate from MCC.
Can You Participate in Both?
Yes — but seat acceptance rules differ. Accepting an AIQ seat may affect state participation depending on the round. Never double-accept; follow the latest NMC and state notifications.
How We Help
MedMentor360 maps your rank to both pathways, flags domicile gaps early, and coordinates MCC and state choice lists so you do not miss either deadline.
