As per the observation of Team GMU, MRMC Gulbarga is one of the oldest private medical colleges in Karnataka, known for its academics and patient exposure. On our visit to the MRMC Gulbarga, we observed that academics is really good, but the infrastructure somewhat disappointed us, patient inflow could have been better if they had changed the overall layout of the hospital along with its infrastructure.The hospital has the potential to attract more patients but somewhere the infrastructure is putting them behind.

When we interviewed students pursuing MBBS in MRMC Gulbarga, Team GMU discovered their dissatisfaction with the campus amenities. They expressed disappointment over the lack of sports and other facilities within the campus premises. Furthermore, there seems to be no evident progress towards improving these facilities. Moreover, the inconvenience of having the hostel and hospital situated outside the college campus was also noted as a drawback of MRMC Gulbarga.

In terms of finances, pursuing MBBS in MRMC Gulbarga proves to be economical, and the living conditions are notably favourable. Language barriers are minimal, as the community converses fluently in multiple languages, ensuring ease of communication for students studying here.

The nearest railway station, Kalaburagi Railway Station, is located around 3 km from the college. Additionally, the closest bus stop, Gulbarga Central Bus Stand, is about 3.3km away.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission in MRMC

For admission to MRMC Medical College for MBBS, requires candidates to fulfil specific qualifying requirements before they get admitted. The following prerequisites are as follows:

1. Candidate must clear 12th standardwith Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-Technology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study, with at least 50% marks in aggregate of optional subjects.

2. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

3. The admission under the NRI category is based on merit in the qualifying examination taking into consideration, marks secured in the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Foreign nationals are also considered for admission under this quota.

4. Students seeking admission under the NRI category should submit a separate application to the college in the prescribed format. The payment of the fee shall be from the Non-Resident External (N.R.E) account of the parent.

5. Medical aspirant must be a citizen of India

6. For MBBS Admission in MRMC, every medical student is required to register on the official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

7. Medical aspirants must have qualified NEET UG exam.

STEP 5: With the downloaded document verification slip, a medical aspirant can then start the process of choice filling online.

STEP 6: After the declaration of the mock test, choices made can be either reshuffled or deleted but cannot be added.

STEP 7: And when the final result is declared, a student can then proceed to pay application fee.

STEP 8: The last step is Reporting. After the Karnataka NEET first round of counselling results, students should report to the Karnataka Examination Authority before going to the college.
